Terms

Terms of Service

Effective date: June 30, 2026. Last updated: July 17, 2026.

These terms govern the Method Math website, Family Portal, consultation requests, booking tools, and tutoring services.

Contact Method Math: [email protected]; phone/text: 530-505-1264. Text or email is preferred for scheduling questions.

Parent or guardian account

Family accounts must be created by a parent or legal guardian, or by an adult with authority from the parent or legal guardian. By creating an account, you confirm that you have authority to share the student's information and to book tutoring services for the student.

Tutoring services

Method Math provides one-on-one math tutoring for elementary, middle, and high school students. Sessions take place at the Vacaville Cultural Center Library unless Method Math agrees otherwise in writing. Method Math does not currently offer online tutoring sessions.

Tutoring supports learning, practice, and confidence. Method Math does not guarantee grades, test scores, admissions outcomes, course placement, or a specific academic result.

Payment, cancellation, and no-show policy

When the portal offers a reschedule option, the existing appointment remains booked until the replacement time is confirmed successfully. A successful reschedule moves the same appointment and releases the old time in one operation; the reschedule itself does not apply a cancellation fee. If the replacement cannot be saved, the existing appointment remains unchanged. A separate cancellation remains subject to the cancellation policy above.

The website currently does not sell subscriptions, trials, memberships, prepaid packages, or automatic renewals. If those are added later, separate recurring-payment disclosures and consent controls must be added before launch.

Student conduct and acceptable use

Students are expected to participate respectfully, bring assigned materials when available, and use the portal only for tutoring-related purposes. Harassment, threats, attempts to access another family's account, misuse of scheduling tools, or sharing harmful content may result in cancellation or account restriction.

Privacy and student information

Use of the site is also governed by the Privacy Policy. Do not submit highly sensitive information unless Method Math specifically asks for it and provides a secure way to share it.

Electronic communications and optional texts

By using the website, you agree that Method Math may send account, scheduling, booking, cancellation, and service-related emails. Text messages are optional and should only be used when you provide a phone number and agree to text scheduling communication. Message and data rates may apply; reply STOP to opt out of texts.

Photos, recordings, testimonials, and media

Method Math will not publish student photos, names, grades, testimonials, recordings, work samples, or before-and-after claims without appropriate written permission from a parent or legal guardian. Sessions are not recorded unless Method Math obtains appropriate permission first.

Intellectual property

The Method Math website, branding, copy, layouts, and original materials are owned by Method Math or its licensors. Students may use tutoring materials for personal study but may not resell or republish them without permission.

Account changes and privacy requests

Parents can update student details in the family portal. To request account deletion, student data deletion, correction, access, or export, use Privacy Requests.

Service model changes

These terms are intended for Method Math's current direct-to-parent tutoring model. Method Math may update these terms if services change, including if Method Math contracts with schools, hires additional tutors, records sessions, adds website payments, uses subscriptions, adds advertising tools, serves users outside the United States, or materially changes its services.
